What are the BEST sight seeing recommendations in Tucson, Arizona?
I gather your husband is at Fort Huachuca? There are so many wonderful things to see and do in Arizona, which is why I moved here after retiring from the army. But the real question is what is there to do for families with young children?!
Tucson has a wonderful Desert museum on the southwest side. There is also Old Tucson Studios were some movies were made like parts of "Three Amigos" and old John Wayne flicks.
And don't discount Cochise County, AZ, "Land of Legends" according to the county tourism office. Old Bisbee is a delight but the stairs can get problematic for strollers. We have ghost towns, mountains and delightful weather pretty much year-round. That's why I moved here...I first fell in love with the area back in 1985 when I was here for Advanced Individual Training. Twenty-three years later I am living my dream.
Good luck to you and your warrior husband. You should be proud of him for protecting our country.
